Heirloom craft. Everyday denim. Together at last.
This deep indigo Gloria Vanderbilt stretch denim jacket — structured, flattering, and built to last — has been transformed with pieces of a vintage geometric floral cutwork tablecloth. The back panel is covered in a large rectangle of the crisp white linen, framed top and bottom by lace trim bands, with a spectacular tiered geometric cutwork motif at its center — rows of circular floral cutwork squares stepping up like a pyramid, each one more intricate than the last. It's the kind of needlework that took someone hours to create, and now it lives somewhere it can be seen every day.
The same cutwork linen lines the entire right sleeve cuff, so every time you push up your sleeves, there's a little gallery of lacework waiting.
Cut-out floral appliqués from the same tablecloth travel over the left shoulder and collar, flutter onto the right front chest pocket flap, and appear again on the right sleeve above the cuff — like scattered flower petals caught mid-drift. The front left pocket flap and the entire bottom hem band are finished with white hand cross-stitch embroidery — X's marching all the way around, front and back, tying every detail into one cohesive whole.
Details to love:
- Large vintage cutwork tablecloth panel on back — geometric tiered floral cutwork on white linen
- Lace trim bands top and bottom of back panel
- Full right sleeve cuff covered in matching cutwork linen + lace trim edge
- Floral cutwork appliqués over left shoulder, right front pocket flap, and right sleeve
- White cross-stitch embroidery on left pocket flap and all around hem band
- Deep indigo Gloria Vanderbilt stretch denim — structured trucker silhouette
Style it with: All white underneath to let the lacework truly pop, or a soft cream blouse and dark jeans for a tonal look. White sneakers or strappy sandals. This jacket is the outfit — everything else plays supporting role.
