ANOTHER Change Of Plans 3-15-24

Literally the day after I typed the last blog entry, the airport in Port-au-Prince was attacked and all flights cancelled. The family is back in their town of Mirebalais with yet another delay. I don’t know how you could grow accustomed to that much uncertainty and violence in daily life, let alone hunger and poverty, but they seem to manage and remain joyful and full of hope. They will try again in a week once everything is rescheduled. Though never verbalized, we all realize the longer it takes, the more the violence grows, and the less likely they will make it out.
IF, Lord willing, everything falls into place, they will arrive in Boise 24 hours and 18 minutes after leaving Haiti.
Here and here are a couple of articles about what is happening in Haiti.
